Dorres entre ciel et eau
Découvrez la sérénité à la mode cerdane
Dorres is a mountain village, at an altitude of 1400 m, in the heart of the Regional Park of the Catalan Pyrenees, located on the southern slope of the Carlit massif, where time has preserved all the charm and authenticity of a 19th century Cerdan village.
With a rich and diverse heritage, Dorres, the village of stonemasons, is above all a place where you don't pass but where you have to come...
Our heritage is there, close to the eye, carved into the granite, lulled by the soft chirping of the water rolling through the streets and lovingly protected by generations of Dorreans. Washhouses, cerdan houses, watering troughs, work to shoe animals, churches are nestled in the hollow of the Belloc hill, on the foothills of the Dorres mountain. Finally, in summer and winter, after enjoying our mountains, which are ideal for all kinds of sports and leisure activities, let yourself be tempted by a special moment at the Roman Baths to relax and unwind!
Calm, unspoilt nature, mountains, hot sulphurous waters, pure air... All the ingredients are there to offer you a little serenity during a dream stay or a break to recharge your batteries!
Welcome to Dorres...
A small mountain village of 168 inhabitants, the municipal territory is located between 1332 m and 2827 m above sea level, on 2477 hectares, including more than 1800 hectares of mountains, 200 hectares of forests and summer pastures on the Col Roig and Matte Nègre.
Our town has a very long history with its essential natural resource: WATER.
Originally used for agricultural irrigation, the Tres Fonts spring, which supplies the drinking water network, and the sulphurous hot spring of the Roman Baths are owned by the village.
